‘Figure Queen’ Kim Yuna will transform into a hip-hop girl.

Kim will showcase her new gala program ‘Bulletproof’ to her Korean fans at ‘Samsung Anycall Hauzen 2010 All That Skate Summer,’ ice show that will be held at KINTEX, Goyang City on July 23~25.

Kim's management, All That Sports, said, “Kim, who is currently training in Toronto, is preparing a program to La Roux’s song. The program will reinterpret the Electronica style of the song to a fresh and funky hip-hop style program.”

Kim returned to Toronto on May 31 and has begun her training and choreography with choreographer David Wilson. “I am looking forward to showing a new style with this program, both with the music and choreography,” said Kim.

Wilson added, “I first saw La Roux’s Bulletproof on Ellen DeGeneres’ show and loved it,” Wilson said. “When Yuna told me that she needed a new gala program for this ice show, I felt like she should perform a popular song but one with a totally different style from what she had done in the past. Also, a song that no one else had done. That’s what made me choose this song.”

He also said, “Bulletproof sends a message to women to become stronger. I believe that this program will show Yuna’s enchanting beauty and strength and that it will be a good role model for women.”

“This program will be a trendsetter and we will be able to see a totally different side of Yuna. Yuna is like a burst of fresh energy in figure skating and people will be able to see her spectacular performance,” said Wilson, about Kim’s new program.

“Yuna took dance lessons from Clarence Ford, a famous hip-hop choreographer to show a strong and dynamic side. David Wilson and Clarence Ford collaborated on the choreography of the program. We are already looking forward to seeing how hip-hop meets Yuna’s beautiful skating. You can look forward to a dynamic Yuna that you’ve never seen before,” added by her management, All That Sports.

‘Samsung Anycall Hauzen 2010 All That Skate Summer’ will be held at KINTEX, Goyang city from July 23rd to 25th. The theme of the show is Kim’s dreams and challenges to become the world best and  to give hope to others who are dreaming of achieving their dreams.

Kim will be joined by ‘Figure skating legend’ Michelle Kwan, and Korean hopefuls Kwak Min-Jung and Kim Hae-Jin. Sasha Cohen, Silvia Fontana, Stephane Lambiel, Brain Joubert, John Zimmerman will also skate for this show. Pair skaters and ice dancers, Aliona Savchenko & Robin Szolkowy, Jamie Sal? & David Pelletier, and Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto will be participating.

Show time for ‘Samsung Anycall Hauzen 2010 All That Skate Summer’ are at 8pm on July 23, at 5pm on 24th, and twice on the last day, at 2pm and 6pm on 25th.
