‘Figure Queen’ Kim Yuna and ‘Legend’ Michelle Kwan will perform a duet gala program.

All That Sports, Kim's management agency, has announced that Kim and Kwan will perform a duet program at "Samsung Anycall Hauzen 2010 All That Skate Summer" scheduled for July 23-25 at KINTEX, Goyang city. The new gala will be performed to Mariah Carey’s song "Hero".

This performance is expected to draw much attention since Kim is performing with Michelle Kwan, her skating idol since her childhood. Even though the two skated together last year in an ice show in South Korea, this is the first time that a special gala program was made for the two.

The lyric of the song ‘Hero’ echo the story of a dream come true. The confidence of Kim and Kwan, both making their dreams as children come true by becoming the queen of figure skating and the challenges that they went through will truly be a sight to see.

The main theme of the ice show is ‘Dreams of Tomorrow’, telling the stories of the skaters' dreams and challenges. In addition the show will to try to deliver messages of hope for all those who dream of making their dreams come true. Kim and Kwan's duet program will be performed as a closing gala for the first session.

"Kwan was Kim's hero through her childhood, and now Kim has become the hero for many figure skating fans today. That's why we thought this song ‘Hero’ would be suitable for the show," said All That Sports.

“Kwan’s performance at the Nagano Olympics deeply touched Yuna when she was a little girl. It was so inspiring that she memorized every move. Michelle was her idol. Now Yuna has become a champion as well. The performance will show this story,” All That Sports added.

The choreographer of the show, David Wilson said "Two years ago, Kristi Yamaguchi, the 1992 Albertville Olympic gold medalist, told me that her current favorite was Yuna Kim. She told me that she sees her life when she watches Yuna. Just as Kim has inspired Kristi, she has also inspired Michelle and many other skaters. Just as Kwan inspired little Yuna in the past, Kim has now become a skater who inspires other skaters, for different reasons."

"I want to show the audience what it’s like when these two interact; inspiring each other. Yuna and Michelle both achieved their dreams with their great inner courage. I want to portray the message that people can have the strength and courage to make their dreams come true,” he added.

Kim will be performing her 2010 Vancouver Olympic gala program "Meditation from Thais" and her new gala program "Bulletproof" at the show.

Along with Yu-na Kim, the world top skaters including Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, Stephane Lambiel, Brian Joubert will be performing. There will be four performances; 8pm on July 23(Fri), 5pm on 24(Sat) and 2pm, 6pm on 25(Sun).
